James Franklin Parnell

James Franklin Parnell, 64 of Kingsland, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Little Rock. He was born June 15, 1951 in Pine Bluff. He was a Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He worked 18 years at Lockheed-Martin, 7 years at Synergy Gas, and most recently worked at Kingsland One Stop. He was preceded in death by his father Grady Lee Parnell, Sr. and his brother William Michael Parnell.

He is survived by his mother Lois Kathleen Dawson of Kingsland; his son Michael and Renee Parnell of Kingsland; his daughter Tonya Parnell of Kingsland; two brothers, Joe and Stephanie Parnell of Hopeville and Grady and Cynthia Parnell, Jr. of Kingsland; two sisters, Diane Ferguson of Kingsland and Linda and Larry McDaniel of Fordyce; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2PM Monday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
