James C. McLean, 83, of Hampton, died Wednesday November 2, 2011 at the Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, AR. Mr. McLean was born in DeKalb, TX on December 11, 1927 to the late Lawrence & Lena McLean. He was a member of the Hampton Church of Christ and a retired Grocery Store Owner. He served as an Alderman for the Hampton City Council for over two decades. Mr. McLean honorably & faithfully served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by his four sons, Shannon McLean of Hampton, AR, Jimmy McLean of Texarkana, AR, Paul McLean of Virginia, Philip McLean of Virginia; a daughter, Courtney Fox & her husband Tony of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Charles McLean of Texarkana, AR, Joe McLean of Texarkana, AR; five grandchildren, Hannah Davis, Avery Fox, Joshua McLean, Jennifer McLean, Jonathan McLean, & two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM November 5, 2011 at the Hampton Church of Christ. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery with the Brother Roy Stringfellow officiating.
