James Varhn Hornaday

James Varhn Hornaday, 68, of Thornton, died Wednesday December 9, 2009. Mr. Hornaday was born in Calhoun County, on September 7, 1941 to the late A.J. & Mary Catherine Hornaday. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, & a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kristy Webber of Katy, TX, Landa Russell of Fordyce, AR; a brother, Jerry Hornaday of Tomball, TX; six grandchildren, Josh Barner of Fordyce, AR, Hayley Lane of Katy,TX, Kayla Coston of Fordyce, AR, Paige LaCombe of Fordyce, AR, Harley Brandon of Fordyce,AR, & Ryn-Presley Russell of Fordyce, AR.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday December 12, 2009 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, with the Rev. Shane Mathews officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
