James Stinson Granderson

James Stinson Granderson, 88, of New Edinburg died Wednesday August 17, 2011 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. Born March 21, 1923 at Kingsland, he was a son of the late Robert Orville Granderson and Helen Herrington Granderson. Mr. Granderson was a Baptist and worked for the Cleveland County Road Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Cathey Granderson; four brothers, two sisters, a granddaughter and a great-grandson. He is survived by four children, Jimmy Wayne Granderson of Robstown, TX, Michael David Granderson of Pine Bluff, AR, Charlotte Elaine Clark of Uniontown, AR, Gwenda Jean Hearnsberger of Thornton, AR; two step children, Mary Jane Attwood of Hot Springs Village, AR, Tyler Attwood of Ottowa, Ontario Canada; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at McCoy Cemetery with Rev. John Kidwell officiating.
