James Bernard “Jimmy” Bryant, II, age 67, passed away at his home on February 10, 2026.
Jimmy was born on March 23, 1958, in Camden, Arkansas, to James Bernard “JB” Bryant and Mary Ann Hoffman Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Isabel; two grandchildren; his brother, Ray; his sister-in-law, Cindy; his sister, Suzannah; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
After graduating from Fordyce High School, Jimmy enlisted in the military where he served as an Army Ranger in the United States Army. He spent most of his adult life in Little Rock, but in recent years returned to the Smith Chapel community, where many of his best childhood memories were made.
Jimmy lived his final years in the country near where he grew up, finding joy in the simple things—especially visits from his great-nephews. He delighted in their company and good-natured mischief, often joining in the pranks they tried to pull on him. Those moments brought him happiness and will be fondly remembered by his family.
