Jackie Ray Evans

Jackie Ray Evans, 58, of Bearden went to be with our Lord Friday May 27, 2016. He was born January 30, 1958 at Camden. He was a member of Providence Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Betty Evans and Pauline and Roy Belt; and a brother, James David "Jimmy" Evans. He is survived by his brothers A.W. Evans and wife Theresa of Bearden, Donnie Evans and wife Marie of Fordyce, Terry Denman of Georgia; sisters Paula "Sissy" Tucker and husband David of Bearden, Vickie Caskey of Louisiana, Sybil Whitworth of Scott City, MO, Rosie Smith of Iowa; and a whole host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and his precious pet, Peaches; and special friend Ginger Pennington. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Brian Caldwell and Brother Richard Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
