Jack Haynes, 89, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013. He was born to Adam Haynes and Bertha (Langston) Haynes in Houston, LA on January 16, 1924. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired after 27 years of military service. He served during WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam earning several decorations and a Meritorious Service Medals. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., the Elks Lodge and Optimist Club.
He is survived by his brother, Ben Haynes of New Braunfels and sister, Jean Schaffer of New Braunfels. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine, brother, William Haynes; and sister, Ruth.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10AM Tuesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Smith-Morgan Cemetery in New Edinburg, Arkansas. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
