Jack Arthur Harper, 84, of Fordyce, died Thursday July 5, 2012. Mr. Harper was born in Thornton, AR on May 1, 1928. He was a retired lumber grader for D.J. Barnes Lumber Co., & a member of the Temple Baptist Church.
He was survived by his son, Terry Harper & his wife Gay of Maumelle, AR; a grandson, Kipp Harper & his wife Staci of Benton, AR; two great grandchildren, Jackson & Ali Harper of Benton, AR. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Harper; his wife, Billie Brown Harper; three brothers, Clyde, Bill, & John Henry Harper; & a sister Jimmie Harper.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday July 7, 2012 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery, with the Rev. Rodney Grice officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
