Ione Elizabeth Avant

Ione Elizabeth Beasley Avant, 96, of Hampton died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Silver Oaks Nursing & Rehab in Camden. She was born September 1, 1918 in Locust Bayou, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Happy Home Assembly of God Church in Hampton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie Beasley and Bessie Hardaway Dunn; husband, H. Darrell Avant; and one brother, Merman Dunn. She is survived by one son, Eddie Avant of Hampton; four daughters, Gaye Scroggin of North Little Rock, Carolyn McLendon and Betty Cash of Locust Bayou, Sharon Leach of Santa Fe, TX; eleven grandchildren and several great and great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Happy Home Assembly of God Church with Rev. Monroe Hill and Rev.
