Homey Franklin Barnes, 81 of Fordyce, died Wednesday at home. He was born August 6, 1936 in Fordyce to the late Homey Felix Barnes and Lillie Ora Wright Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his son John Michael Barnes.
He is survived by his wife JonAnne Barnes of Fordyce; two sons, Steve Barnes of Abilene, Texas and Gary Barnes of Fordyce; and three grandchildren, Josh Barnes of Hot Springs, Laura Barnes Smith of Lavaca, and Adam Ward Barnes of Monticello.
Graveside services will be 10AM Friday at Barnes Cemetery with Rev. Nick Flowers officiating. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
