Hilda Elizabeth Carter, 94 of Harrell, Arkansas died Wednesday. She was born April 14, 1919 in Mathiston, Mississippi to the late William and Mary Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband Alvin "Pete" Carter, five brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Ophelia Carter of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Viola Christmas and husband Al of Scottsdale, Arizona; her sister Rogenia Swindoll of Hernando, Mississippi; two grandchildren Bradley Christmas of Mesa, Arizona and Jarrod Christmas of Scottsdale, Arizona; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services are 2PM Saturday at Harrell United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Harrell United Methodist Church or Campground Cemetery.
