Herman Larry Dunn

Herman Larry Dunn, 77, of Hampton died Friday April 8, 2016 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado. Born August 24, 1938 at Hampton, He was a son of the late Herman Watson Dunn and Martha Juanita Blake Dunn.
He graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy in 1962. He was on the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy from 1981 to 1991, a long time member of the El Dorado Civitan Club, a member of the Calhoun County Cattlemen's Association, serving as Vice President for three years and was named Arkansas Outstanding Young Jaycee. His family was the Calhoun County Farm Family of the Year for 1993. He also received an Award of Merit for Outstanding and Dedicated Service from 1973 to 1979 by the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Pharmacy Association, and an Award of Merit by the Calhoun County Conservation District for Outstanding Accomplishment in Resource Conservation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gerald Dunn and Russell Dunn. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Dunn of Hampton; two sons, Blake Dunn of El Dorado, Todd Dunn (Rae Ann) of El Dorado; one daughter, Laura Robertson (Malcolm) of El Dorado; one sister, Sandra Williams of Hampton; eight grandchildren, Marshall Dunn, Jerad Dunn, John-Martin Burkland, Dillon Burkland, Trent Dunn, Laken Dunn, Watson Dunn, Spencer Dunn and many loyal customers, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Faustina Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Hampton/Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
