Herman Ray Evans, Jr.

Herman Ray Evans, Jr. 60, of Bearden died Thursday September 20, 2012 at his home. He was retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Ray Evans, Sr. and Dollie Evans; brothers, Winfred, Hervey, and Waymond Evans; sisters Elizabeth Howard Nash, Chloe Patterson, Charlotte Bradbury, and Reba Evans. Survivors include his sisters, Geneva Anthony of Bearden and Katherine Davidson of Chidester; a very special dear friend, Brenda Strange; and a host of nieces and nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
