Henry Owen Jones, Jr. 83, of Fordyce passed away Thursday afternoon, May 3, 2012 at his home. Owen was born to Bo and Mamie Jones June 22, 1928 in Jacinto, AR. He was retired from Georgia-Pacific Corp. and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Sue Davis Jones; five children, son Randall (Monica) Jones of Fordyce; daughters Peggy Vicari of Independence, LA and dear friend Patrick Governale of Ocean Springs, MS, Judy (Steve) Langley of Fordyce, Stacey (Michael) Cifelli of Arlington, TX, Barbara (Carroll) Crowder of Fordyce; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; a sister Jimmie Lee Jones Hollis of Fordyce and a large host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bo Jones and Charlie and Mamie Hollis; two sisters, Mildred Jones Mann, Mary Sue Jones White Smith, and a son-in-law, Larry Vicari.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home at Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday at Benton Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Grice and Rev. Jerry Arnold officiating. The family requests donations made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
