Henry H. (Jack) Wells

Henry H. (Jack) Wells, 85, of Fordyce died Wednesday February 15, 2012 at Dallas County Medical Center. Born March 21, 1926 at Fordyce, he was a son of the late Alfred F. and Mary Easter Nutt Wells. He served as a Navy SEAL during World War II and was a firefighter at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Mr. Wells was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dick, White, and Pete Wells; a sister, Earnestine Nutt. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Booth Wells of Fordyce; son Richard Wells and wife, Rhonda of Thornton; daughter Jeannie Wells Brewer and husband, Larry of Hot Springs; grandchildren Rebekah Wells, John Daniel Wells, and Luke Brewer. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Cemetery with Todd Easterling officiating.
