Helen Elizabeth Raney

Helen Elizabeth Raney, 79, of Fordyce died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born March 29, 1935 in Dallas County Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lee Delbert "Joe" Raney; parents, Eura Lewis Rogers and Nancy Davis Rogers; son, Eddie Raney; grandson, Shawn Raney; and great grandson, Andrew Raney. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Raney and Dennis Raney both of Fordyce; two brothers, Whitey Rogers of Fordyce and Gabby Rogers of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Linda Palmer of Fordyce; seven grandchildren, Shannon Raney, Joseph Raney, Sam Raney, Daniel Raney and wife Kaylee, Winston Raney and wife Katie, Emily Raney and Allison Raney; and four great grandchildren, Kristopher Raney, Hannah Raney, Harrison Raney and Charlotte Raney. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Zion Baptist Church of Fordyce. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Wright Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
