Helen Ophie Crowder

Helen Ophie Crowder, 93, of Fordyce died Saturday, April 4, 2009. She was born August 4, 1915 in Tinsman, Arkansas. She was a retired school teacher, former director of the Fordyce Senior Citizen Center and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Fordyce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Hattie Williams Hopper; husband, Jewell Lewis Crowder; two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by one son, Lewis Crowder of Lawton, OK; one daughter, Mary Nicholas of Hot Springs; one brother, Willis Hopper of McGehee; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Knight officiating.
