Grady Lynn Childers

Grady Lynn Childers, 67, of Fordyce, died Saturday January 31, 2009 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mr. Childers was born in Calhoun County on May 22, 1941 to the late Melvin & Ollie Mae Childers.

He is survived by his son, Grady Lynn Childers Jr. & his wife Brenda of Houston, TX; two daughters, Karen Palacios & her husband John of Houston, TX, Sandy Rhodes of Houston, TX; two brothers, Hollis Childers & his wife Ouida of Farmersville, LA; Paul Childers & his wife Evelina of Minden, LA; his sister, Sylvia Thornton & her husband Marion of Fordyce, AR; & seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Launelda Robbins

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday February 3, 2009 at the Means Cemetery in Hampton. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
