Gordon Langford, 81 of Fordyce, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born May 1, 1927 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Hiram and Pearl Towery Langford. He was formerly the mayor of Kingsland, served his country as a Marine, and was a Baptist.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sonya Haltom; a sister, Martha Catherine Smith; and a grandson, Jason Langford.
He is survived by his wife Jean Langford of Fordyce, AR; a son, Steve Langford of Fayetteville, AR; three daughters, Judy Taylor of Dallas, TX, Marilyn Pfaff of Hot Springs, AR; Nancy Tikunoff of Tampa, FL; five brothers, James Langford of Kingsland, AR, Gerald Langford of Prescott, AZ, Glynn Langford of Kingsland, AR, Charles Langford of Kingsland, AR, Rayburn Langford of Rison, AR; three sisters, Mary Sue Davenport of White Hall, AR, Dorothy McAllister of Pine Bluff, AR, Ann Crook of Fordyce, AR; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 PM at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be at Kingsland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 PM until 7:30 at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
