Gloria Dell Quimby

Gloria Dell Quimby, 85 of Fordyce died Tuesday August 12, 2025 at St. John’s Place of Fordyce. Born June 15, 1940 in Fordyce, she was a daughter of the late Horace Carroll and Opal Clement Carroll. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh Carroll and William Carroll.

She is survived by three sons, Alford Quimby and his wife Connie of Knoxville, TN, Alan Quimby and his wife Charlotte of New Edinburg, and Alton Quimby of Oregon; one sister, Sandra Jean Wallace of Harrison; eight grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Ebenezer Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
