Georgia Mae Waldrop

Georgia Mae Waldrop, age 89 of New Edinburg died Thursday October 27, 2011 at The Greenhouse Cottages of Southern Hills in Rison. She was born February 20, 1922 in New Edinburg to the late Leonard Otto Waldrop and Nina Bea Spears Waldrop. She was a retired employee of International Paper Bag Plant Division in Camden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James L. Waldrop and Bobby Waldrop; a niece, Wanna Jean Waldrop Saporito; and two sisters-in-law, Lois Waldrop and Irma Dean Waldrop. She is survived by her brother, J.E. (Eb) Waldrop of West Memphis; one nephew Billy Waldrop and spouse Tanya of Warren; three nieces, Brenda Magill and spouse Andrew of Memphis, TN, Nancy McCarty and spouse Jerry of Houston, TX, and Patsy Thornton and spouse Gary of Warren; one sister-in-law, Jimmie Sue Waldrop of Warren, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 29 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be in McCoy Cemetery near New Edinburg.
