Georgia Mae "Mamaw" Pennington Ray, 90, of Bearden died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. She was born November 13, 1924 in Holly Springs, Arkansas. She was a member of Bearden Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents George Pennington and Annie Mae Cathey Pennington; husband, Emmett Ray; grandson, Johnny Evans; four brothers, Watson, Herbert, John and Clyde Pennington; and one sister, Mary Ellen McAlister. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Brenda Clowers of Bearden, Roy E. Jr and Debbie L. Ray of El Dorado; one daughter, Debbie Holmes of Minden, LA; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. David Dillard and Rev. Jerry Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery.
