George Lewis Steelman

George Lewis "Chicken George" Steelman, 74, of Camden died Friday, November 9, 2012. He was born June 1, 1938 in Thornton, Arkansas. He was a retired restaurant owner and Army Vietnam veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jewell I. Steelman and Leila Ezell Steelman; and two brothers, Ed Steelman and Leroy Steelman. He is survived by his wife Sue Steelman of Bearden; three daughters, Deborah Green of Fordyce, Vivian Smead of Hampton, and Elizabeth Hardman of Bearden; two brothers, Wayne A. Steelman of Camden and Larry Dale Steelman of Converse, LA; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Eddie Dorris officiating. Burial at New Hope Cemetery near Hampton. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
