Gary Lynn "Butch" Smith

Gary Lynn “Butch” Smith, 72 of Fordyce died September 16, 2026 at his home. He was born March 1, 1954 to the late William Odis “Sonny” Smith and Mary Taylor Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hezzie Daulton Daniels and Erma Joyce Miller; one brother-in-law, Donnie Daniels; one sister-in-law, Patricia Lynn Daniels; grandparents-in-law, Hezekiah Hamilton Daniels and Annie Elizabeth Daniels.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Daniels Smith of Fordyce; one son, Daniel Hezekiah Smith and wife Allison of TX; one daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Rolniak and husband John of TX; two grandchildren, Hazel Ann Smith and Henry Hezekiah Smith.

Visitation will be September 20, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm at Benton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be September 21, 2026 at 2pm at Benton Funeral Home with brother Nathan Petty officiating.
