Fordyce, AR

Gary Jones was born on August 8, 1961 and was a lifelong resident of Fordyce Arkansas, where he was raised and spent his entire life. Gary was a hardworking and dedicated man who devoted many years of his life to working at Georgia- Pacific.

Gary was truly an amazing man with a heart full of love for his family and those around him. He was a devoted father who was always there for his children throughout their lives, providing love, guidance, and support. His love extended far beyond his own family as he became a father figure too many of his children’s friends. He had a way of making others feel welcomed, cared for, and treated like family.

Gary enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially hunting, fishing, and watching football. These were some of the things that brought him happiness and created lasting memories with those closest to him.

Above all, Gary will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the lives he touched, and the countless memories he leaves behind. His presence was a blessing, and his legacy will continue through the many people who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Gary was preceded in death by his loving parents, Eugene and Mary Jones; two sisters, Donna Davidson and Laura Jones; and two grandchildren, Tabitha and Zane Gray, all of Fordyce Arkansas.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Lendia Avery of Fordyce; four children, Kristerfer Jones of Dewitt, Kimberly Simpson (Jason) of Pine Bluff, Micheal Jones of Bearden, Ladonna Archer (Michael) of Fordyce.

He also leaves behind eight step-children Patrick Avery, Kalani Avery, Tina Smith (James), Ray Broughton (Felicia), Christina Beets (Bryan), Rodell Avery Jr. (Christina), John Johns, and Brandy Thomason (Brian).

Gary is also survived by two sisters, Brenda Drake and Wendy Owen (Jason) both of Fordyce; one uncle Dale (Shirley) and one aunt Glenda of Little Rock; 29 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though Gary is no longer physically with us, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created will forever remain in the heart of those who loved him. His family will always remember the man who showed up, stood by them, and loved them in his own special way.

A father’s love leaves a lasting mark on the heart of his children. His love will remain, his memories will be treasured, and his legacy will live on for generations to come.
