Garry W. "Dub" Wood

Garry W. “Dub” Wood, age 66 of Hampton, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his home. He was born October 9, 1954 in Sparkman, Arkansas. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hampton, and a heavy equipment/auto mechanic retiring from Georgia Pacific.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wood. He is survived by his wife, Jane Daniell Wood of Hampton; one son, Jonathan Wood and wife Amy of Harrell; mother, Milrene Wood of Fordyce; two sisters, Deloise “Sue” Porterfield and husband Robert of Sheridan, Mary “Kat” Bassetti and husband Bob of Tinsman; and one granddaughter, Abbigail Wood of Harrell.
Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Means Cemetery with Rev. Clint Ritchie officiating.
