Fred R. Pennington Jr.

Fred Pennington, Jr., 82 of Springdale, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025. He was born on April 6, 1943 in Bunn, Arkansas to the late Fred Pennington Sr. and Ellie Pennington. He married Roberta Hay on October 4, 1963 and together they raised a family in Pine Bluff.

Fred worked for Ideal Bread company for much of his life before working at the Pine Bluff Arsenal where he retired. He enjoyed camping and playing cards with his family & friends.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters and one brother.

Fred is survived by one sister, Brenda (David) Pate of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two daughters, Sonya (Paul) Kuykendall of Springdale, Arkansas and Stephania Beard of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Molly Kuykendall, Zachary Beard, Nathan Beard, and Courtney Beard; and two great grandchildren.
