Frances was born and lived all her life in Ouachita County. She worked outside the home for many years but was happiest caring for her home and extended family. She loved to garden and had one of the most beautiful flower gardens in Bearden. Her love for the birds who visited her feeder gave her many pleasurable hours. She was an accomplished seamstress who learned to sew at an early age. Upon her retirement, she learned to hand quilt. She became a very skilled quilter and completed more than 100 quilts. She earned many ribbons for the quilts she entered at local shows from 1984 until 2002. Her quilts are treasured by her family for their warmth, softness, bright colors and the love she quilted into them.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Cemetery Association 450 Brookridge Camden, AR 71701 or Ouachita County Hospice, P.O. Box 797, Camden, AR 71701.
