Frances Vaughan, 81 of Bearden, departed this life on September 14, 2010 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born January 21, 1929 in Fordyce, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Vaughan, sons Phil Vaughan and Jimmy Vaughan, and one grand daughter Christy Lynn Vaughan.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and is survived by her children Richard & Bobbie Jo Vaughan, Mike and Donna Vaughan, Susie and Jimmy Martin, Cynthia and Dennis Raney, and Samantha and Barry Henderson, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother Charles & Mavine Atkinson, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was a life-long member of First Southern Baptist Church in Bearden. She lived life to the fullest and found pleasure in the simplest things. She was a faithful server of her church and community.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ouachita County Medical Center Hospice, PO Box 797, Camden, AR 71711, First Southern Baptist Church in Bearden, or your favorite charity.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 AM at First Southern Baptist Church of Bearden. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Bearden. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
