Frances Inez Griffis

Frances Inez Beard Griffis, age 93 of Bearden, Arkansas died Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Ouachita County Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1933 in Bearden, Arkansas to V.l. and Annie Beard. She lived and enjoyed her life in Bearden. She worked in various sewing factories until she retired and then enjoyed being a full-time Mammaw.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, George Earl Griffis; two daughters, Sharon Kay and Theresa Ann Griffis (Tag); three sisters, Mary Evelyn Holmes, Edna Lucille Griffis, and Betty Lou Harper; three brothers, Charles Hubert (Chuby), Armon, and John Edwin Beard.

She is survived by her son, Travis Griffis (Hilda) of Bearden; three granddaughters, Amy (John) Ray, Tracy Griffis, and Ashley Vaughan, all of Bearden; four great-grandsons, Shawn Ray, Aiden Frazier, Calien Frazier, and Huntlee Vaughan; three great-granddaughters, Madison Ray, Lanee(Ryder)Howard, and Libby Vaughan; and one great-great-granddaughter, Tiffanie Meads-Ray all of Bearden; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Lindsey of Bearden, and Dot Steelman of Camden; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
