Eugenia Ann Sturgis

Eugenia Ann Sturgis, 71 of Kingsland died Friday June 23, 2017 at her home. Born August 25, 1945 at Camden, she was a daughter of the late Henry Russell and Hilda Priddy Russell. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Floyd Dean Oliver; a niece, Merilisabeth Johnson; and two nephews, Derek Russell and Dewayne Russell.
She is survived by her husband of 49 ½ years, Edward Sturgis of Kingsland; her children, Angelia Sturgis of Jacksonville, Roy Sturgis of Kingsland, Sarah Sturgis and her husband Jeff Howard of Rison, and Eddie Ray Sturgis of Nacogdoches, TX; one brother, Thomas Russell and his wife Cathy of Tyler, TX; seven grandchildren, Hanna Sturgis, Braydon Pennington, Kristin Cragun, Michael Sturgis, Joshua Sturgis, Taylor Sturgis, Shelby Sturgis; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday June 26, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 10:00 Tuesday June 27, 2017 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ware Russell and Rev. Harry Puterbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Graves Cemetery near Kingsland.
