Ervin Laffayette Bryant

May 28, 1933 — February 4, 2022

Ervin Laffayette "Pat" Bryant, passed away in his home in Whitehall, Arkansas on February 4th, 2022, at the age of 88. He was born on May 28, 1933, in Fordyce, Arkansas to his parents Otis Harris Bryant and Francis Audrey House.
Pat joined the military in 1950, where he met his future bride, Charlotte Bryant. They were married on June 14, 1953 and spent 42 beautiful years together until her passing on November 27, 1995. Pat had a successful career and retired from the Navy with 20 years of service. After moving back to Fordyce Arkansas, Pat managed his own business, B & C Heating & Air and operated a family-owned fish market.
Pat loved outdoor sporting, camping, and hunting. Some of our fondest memories of him were at “the camp” in Fordyce, Arkansas where he would often fry fish for family and friends. Anyone who knew Pat was touched by his kindness, humor, and mild temperament. He worked very hard to provide for his family. Pat will always be remembered as a loving husband, a caring father, and an excellent grandfather (our Pappy).
He is survived by his four children; Kary (Benda) Bryant of White Hall, AR; Kenny (Sharon) Bryant of Sherwood, AR; Karen (John) Smith of White Hall, AR; Keith Bryant of Jacksonville, AR. His siblings; Jo Ida Roberts of Camden, AR; Donald Ray Bryant of Thornton, AR; Mary (Joe) McGarity of Moss Point, MS; Myrtis (Freddy) Dunsford of Castleberry, AL; Delynn (Charlie) Erwin of Thornton, AR; Paul (Charlotte) House of Columbia, MO; Joyce Jones of Me Rouge, LA. His Grandchildren; Kathy (Jay) Thomas of Maumelle, AR; Chrystal (Albert) Baxter of Buffalo, NY; Scotty (Kim) Smith of Richmond Hill, GA; Corey (Paige) Bryant of Little Rock, AR; Bryan (Anna) Smith of Sherwood, AR; Eric Bryant of Sherwood, AR; and Jack Garrison of Sherwood, AR. His Great-Grandchildren; Tristen (Whitney) Smith, Caleb Smith, Nicholas Burch, Machaela Smith, Emily Hagewood, Elaina Baxter, Caden Smith, Teri Babson, Stella Bryant, Samuel Smith, Bentley Davis, and Amelia Davis.
Pat was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Vallie Bryant; his parents, Otis Harris Bryant and Francis Audrey House; his wife, Charlotte Bryant; four siblings, Wayne Bryant, Cecil Bryant, Ed Bryant, and Dovie Walker; and two grandchildren, Cody Bryant and Angelia Dunaway.
