Emma J. Livingston

Emma J. Livingston, 75, of Thornton, died Wednesday January 4, 2012 at her home. She was born in Bearden, AR, on January 12, 1936 to the late Robert D. & Ella Doherty. Mrs. Livingston was a Baptist & a retired cook for the Thornton School District.

She is survived by her three sons, Bill Livinston & his wife Joella of Camden, AR, Tommy Livingston of Thornton, AR, Allen Livingston & his wife Kaye of Thornton, AR; two brothers, Ray Doherty of Kingsland, AR, Raymond Doherty of Sheridan, AR; five grandchildren, & four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty Livingston, two brothers, Melvin & J.D. Doherty, & a sister, Sissy Watson.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Thornton Cemetery, with the Rev. Kevin Stevicks officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
