Emma “Sook” Lane Ellis, age 83 of Hampton died Friday, July 30, 2021 at Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born December 11, 1937 in Hampton, Arkansas. She was a member of Union Grove Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Larkin Blann and Edna Maggie Lockridge Blann; husbands, Troy Lee Haynes and Johnny Mack Ellis; one son, Dennis Haynes; two brothers, Freddy Joe Blann and J.T. Blann; one sister, Margie Parker; one son-in-law, Warren Scott; three brothers-in-law, Johnny Parr, James Colman and Rod Haynes; two nephews, Randy Parr and Bucky Haynes; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otis and Eva Haynes. She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Fernandez and husband Aaron of Hampton; two step-sons, Billy Ellis of Fordyce, Stevie Ellis and wife Lori of Woodbury; one sister, Sylvia “Mutt” Parr of Harrell; one daughter-in-law, Terri Haynes of Hampton; one brother-in-law, Emmett Parker of Hampton; one sister-in-law, Polly Coleman of Harrell; four grandchildren, Tammy Haynes Russell and husband Patrick of Little Rock, Amanda Sanchez and husband Israel of El Dorado, Weston and Austin Haynes of Hampton; three step grandchildren, Chase Ellis and wife Rosalyna of Hermitage, Steven Ellis of Hampton, April Ellis of Harrell; two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Abigail Sanchez of El Dorado; and two step grandchildren, John Robert Ellis and Bayleigh Ellis of Hermitage.
Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church in Hampton with Rev. Rickey Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery. To sign the online register visit
