Elmore Barry Evans

Elmore Barry Evans III, 58, of Fordyce died Tuesday May 24, 2011 at his home. Born March 14, 1953, he was a son of the late Elmore Barry "Bo" Evans, Jr. and Velma Roberta Smith Evans. He was a mechanic at Russell Chrysler in Fordyce. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Evans and Billy Evans. Survivors include a son, Elmore Barry Evans IV of Fordyce; daughter Rhonda Brown and her husband, Chuck of New Edinburg; two sisters, Diane Harris and Sarah Dulaney of Fordyce; two grandchildren, Blake and Brittany Brown of New Edinburg. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Liberty Cemetery with Rev. Norman Smith officiating. pall bearers are Elvis Smith, Everett Smith, Henry May, Paul Williams, Eddie McKelvey, Alan Kemp; honorary pall bearers are Ricky Harris, Tommy Russell, Sonny Mathews, and Kenneth Workman.
