Elmina Rose Kervin, 89, of Ashdown and formerly of Fordyce, died Saturday December 9, 2017 at Little River Nursing Home in Ashdown. She was born May 10, 1928 in Washington, IA. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Baptist Church of Fordyce. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lona Cooper Messenger; husband, Quitman Kervin; two sisters, Virginia Crane and Joyce Franks; and one grandson, Kenneth Kervin. She is survived by two sons, Junior (Patty) Kervin of Ashdown, Jimmie (Amy) Kervin of Silsbee, TX; one brother, Harold Messenger of Davenport IA; five grandchildren, Dan Kervin of Wooster, Korey Kervin of Texarkana, Justin Kervin of Conway, Keith Kervin of Ashdown, and Emily Stovall of Bauxite; thirteen great grandchildren, Grant Kervin, Ty Kervin, Anna Kervin, Christopher Kervin, Kiera Kervin, Kohl Kervin, Maddie Kervin, Andre Kervin, Aijah Kervin, Gavin Stovall, Asher Stovall, Dakota Smith, and Randon Rounds. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2017, 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev.
