Elmer Eugene Denton, 69, of Harrell died Tuesday February 27, 2018. Born November 8, 1948 at Yazoo City, MS, he was a son of the late John Denton and Christine Miller. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Sue McLaughlin and a son, Elmer Denton, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Jerry B. Denton of Harrell; son, Telly Eugene Denton of Harrell; daughters, Tina Barnard (Dennis Ponder) of El Dorado and Heather Lees (Troy Lees) of Harrell; five grandchildren, David Brewer, Chasity Lees, Shawn Lees, Zane Denton, Laci Denton; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Rayne Shimfessel.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hampton First Assembly of God.
