Ellen L. Bright Powell, 56, of Thornton died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her home. She was born August 25, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas "Buck" Bright and Lucille Steelman Bright; and one brother, Roy Bright. She is survived by her husband, Steve Powell of Thornton; two sons, Carl Nanny of Little Rock and Joe Nanny of North Little Rock; two brothers, Martin Bright and Robert Bright both of Little Rock; two sisters, Mildred McArthur of Bryant and Deborah Willoughby of Cabot; and three grandchildren, Baileigh Nanny, and Eli Nanny of North Little Rock and Gracen Nanny of Little Rock. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Pinecrest Cemetery in Alexander with Rev. Steve Fleming officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
