Elizabeth Ann Evans Howard Nash, 71, of Bearden died Monday, June 14, 2010 at her home. She was born December 24, 1938 in Thornton, Arkansas. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, fellowship with family and friends, camping and fishing. She was a faithful member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Dolly Evans, husband, Hilliard "Red" Howard, son, Terry Howard and step-son, Jerry Howard. She is survived by her husband, Hollis Nash; two daughters, Lori Scroggins of Cleveland and Ranea Dear of Rayville, LA; a grandson, Wayne Nash of Bearden; six step-sons, Charles Howard, Theo Howard and James Howard all of Bearden, John Howard of Thornton, James Nash of Little Rock and Gary Nash of Aberdeen, MS; one step-daughter, Barbara Bledsoe of El Dorado; one brother, Herman Evans Jr. of Bearden; two sisters, Geneva Anthony of Bearden, Kathy Davidson of Chidester; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Timmy Doherty and Rev. Cole Melton officiating. Burial at Atchley Cemetery in Dalark.
