Elbert W. Lisemby

Elbert W. Lisemby, 84 of Fordyce, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He was born November 16, 1926 in Kingsland to the late Wesley Andrew and Hettie Neely Lisemby. He served in the army and retired from Southwestern Bell after 38 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bryant Lisemby; five sisters, Eunice Rogers, Marie Haynie, Laverne Duncan, Mary Brown, Joyce Ann Lisemby; three brothers, Herman, Robert, and Waymon Lisemby.
He is survived by his son, Larry Lisemby and wife Anna of White Hall; two daughters, Pam Simmons and husband Kerry of Fordyce and Kay Waymack and husband Mike of Pine Bluff; one brother John C. Lisemby of White Hall; four grandchildren, Laura Hardy and husband Bo of Fayetteville, Jason Lisemby and wife Jamie of Jonesboro, Niki Shaddock and husband Brice of Fordyce, Ashley Smith and husband Jason of Little Rock; three great grandchildren, Tripp and Evie Beth Hardy both of Fayetteville, and Owen Shaddock of Fordyce.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery near Kingsland. Visitation is Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
