Edward Russell, 80, of Kingsland, died Wednesday September 2, 2009 at the Dallas County Medical Center. Mr. Russell was born in Cleveland County on December 18, 1928 to the late W.B. & Rachel Best Russell. He was member of the St. Marks Episcopal Church in Crossett, and was a retired owner of Russell Logging.
He is survived by his wife Claudia Wigley Hayden Russell of Kingsland, a son, Tommy Russell & his wife Karen of Fordyce, AR; a daughter Sherry Russell Rogers & her husband Dale of Kingsland, AR; two grandchildren, Tom Russell & his wife Kellye of Fordyce, AR, Kristi Hreha & her husband Dan of Conway, AR; three great grandchildren, Alexa & Andrew Hreha of Conway, AR, Reagan Russell of Fordyce, AR; two step sons, Steve Hayden of Crossett, AR, Mike Hayden of Natchitoches, LA; a step daughter, Marlys Ellen of Cotter, AR; nine step grandchildren, Shana, Jennah, Ashley, Kristina, Kelsey, Holley, Chris, Aaron, & Jason; five step great grandchildren, Madison, Macy, Katelyn, Kelly, & Olivia. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howell & Marvin Russell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday September 4, 2009 at the St. Marks Episcopal Church in Crossett. Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM Friday afternoon at the Smith-Morgan Cemetery, with Father George Hart, Father Bob Allen & Rev. L.T. Marks officiating.
