Eddie L. Raney, 53 of Fordyce, died Friday, June 20, 2008 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born July 1, 1954 in Fordyce to Lee Delbert "Joe" Raney and Helen Rogers Raney. He is a member of Zion Baptist Church of Fordyce. He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Raney.
He is survived by his parents, his wife, Debbie Raney of Fordyce; his son Shannon Raney of Fordyce; two brothers, Kenneth and Dennis Raney both of Fordyce; two grandchildren Kristopher and Hannah Raney; and mother and father-in-law, J.R. and Mary Mote of Sheridan; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Wright Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home.
