Duel L. Abbott

Duel L. Abbott, 82, of Kingsland died Friday May 22, 2015 at his home. Born March 15, 1933 at Sparkman, he was the son of the late Ware Hopper and Sallie Leona Abbott. He was a member of the Kingsland First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran and a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Abbott; son, Ricky Abbott; stepson, David Langford; grandparents, Claude and Emma Abbott. He is survived by his wife, Jane Ellis Abbott of Kingsland; stepson, Ronnie Wood of Magnolia; stepdaughter, Barbara Livesay of Shreveport, LA; seven grandchildren, Dawn Issacs Langford, Josh Langford, Shelby Langford, Kyle Langford, Sarah Livesay Roper, Carly Wood, Jonathan Wood; twelve great-grandchildren, including special great-grandchildren Tyler Simms, Nathaniel Hart, Madison McMillan. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Kingsland First Baptist Church with Rev.
