Doyce D. McCann, 78, of Thornton died Monday, April 2, 2012 at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. He was born July 5, 1933 in Calhoun County, Arkansas. He was retired from International Paper and was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Bearden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Birdie and Madie Evans McCann; two brothers, Lecial and Vecial McCann; two sisters, Genural Stone and Trudie Evans. He is survived by his wife, Billie McCann of Thornton; two sons, Larry McCann of Jacksonville, Donnie McCann of Camden; one daughter, Rita Greening of Camden; three step-daughters, Chari Dean of Clarksville, Cheryl Clay of Camden, Cheyla Marlar of Camden; one brother, Winnon McCann of Thornton; four sisters, Nervelene Porter of Fayetteville, TN, Lanette Evans of Hampton, Erna Faye Grant of Thornton, Juanice Steger of Thornton; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Donald Nance officiating.
