Dorothy "Dot" Smith Dagel

Dorothy "Dot" Smith Dagel, 91, of Hampton died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home. She was born January 11, 1921 in Rockland, ME. She was a retired dining room manager for Rancho De Los Caballeros. She was a New England Congregationalist, but locally attended Harrell Methodist Church and Hampton First Assembly of God Church. Dot also enjoyed her daily visits to the nutrition center in Hampton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earle B and Mildred Kirpatrick Smith; husband, Lester Dagel; son, Earle Dagel and brother, Earle Smith, Jr. She is survived by son, Kenneth Dagel of Coleraine, MN; daughter, J Dagel of Pueblo West, CO; grandchildren, Krista (Steve) Belin of Hampton, Shane Dagel of St. Johns AZ, Kirk Dagel of Farmington, MN, Zanna Sill of Madelia, MN, Jenny Sutherland of Grand Rapids, MN, Mike and Zach Dagel of Coleraine, MN. Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice 2301 Champagnolle Rd El Dorado, AR 71730. A private burial will take place at a later date in Rockport TX. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
