Dorothy Jane Nowlin

Dorothy Jane Sloan Nowlin, 82, of Hampton died Tuesday July 8, 2008 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. Born January 11, 1926 at Harrell, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Bertha Faulkner Sloan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hayes Nowlin; one daughter, Priscilla Elaine Nowlin; one sister, Anna Lou Gilbert; one brother, Jim Sloan; and one grandchild, Kenny Nowlin. She is survive by two sons, Terry Nowlin of El Dorado, Gary Nowlin of Bedford, TX; three daughters, Linda Jones and her husband, Kenneth of Hampton, Nancy Nowlin of Minden, LA, Robin Parker and her husband, Jim Mack of Bryant; two brothers, Leroy Sloan of Austin, TX, George Sloan of Garland, TX; one sister, Sally Sprenger of Little Rock; eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Means Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Smith officiating.
