Dorothy L. Green 82, of Fordyce died Friday, September 2, 2016 in Longview, Texas. She was born October 23, 1933 in Warren, Arkansas. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Zion Baptist Church in Fordyce. She is preceded in death by her parents, A. H. Hobgood and Ruth Williams Hobgood; husband, Billy Joe Green; and one brother, Robert Hobgood. She is survived by one son, Randy Green and wife Karen of Longview, TX; one sister, Betty Martindale of Fordyce; one sister-in-law, Nina Hobgood of Fordyce; and three grandchildren, Ryan Green of Austin, TX; Haley Green of Shreveport, LA; Kristen Brown and husband Ryan of Waskom, TX. Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2016 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Barnes Cemetery near Fordyce with Rev. Nick Flowers officiating.
