Dorothy Elizabeth Gorman, 92, of Hampton died Sunday March 28, 2010 at Silver Oaks Nursing Home in Camden. Born January 30, 1918 in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Mose and Mae Ethridge Vaughan. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hampton First Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin D. Gorman; a son, Terry Gorman; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include three sons, Marvin Gorman of Branson, MO, Joe W. Gorman of Longview, TX, George F. Gorman, Sr. of Hampton; two daughters, Wanda Williams of Camden, Dottie Smith of Strong; fifteen grandchildren, Randall L. Gorman of Harvey, LA, K. Mark Gorman, Sr. of Franklin, TN, Beverly Gorman Bilbo of Gonzales, LA, Karen Eiland of Baytown, TX, Joe Gorman, Jr. of Marshall, TX, Sandy Eiland of McKinney, TX, Patrick Gorman of Kilgore, TX, Chad Gorman of Kilgore, TX, Barry Gorman of Hampton, George F. Gorman, Jr. of Hampton, Dwayne Gorman of Springhill, TN, Blake Williams of Camden, Steven Gorman of Hampton, Michael Gorman of Hampton, Jason Smith of Strong; two step-grandchildren, Mollie Cupp of El Dorado, Doyle Howard of LaGrange, TX; twenty-five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hampton First Assembly of God with Rev. Rickey Smith and Rev.
