Dorothy N. Ables

Dorothy N. Richardson Ables, 89 of Hampton, died Thursday, February 13, 2014. She was born January 16, 1925 in Eagleville, Missouri to the late Robert Earl and Jennie Hart Richardson. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Jenarie Ables; three brothers, Cleo, Billy, and Clyde Richardson; a sister Beatrice Huitt; a grandson Pat Gorman; and a great grandson Luke Hyde.

She is survived by her husband, Tilman F. Ables of Hampton; her son, Richard Ables (Linda) of Lucas, Texas; two daughters, Marion Stokes of Hampton and Melenna Simpson (Arel) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; her sister Lois Carlisle of Bethany, Missouri; her grandchildren Jill Brashaw (Bill) of El Dorado, Joe Ables (Brandi) of Decatur, Texas, Robin Dotson (Reggie) of Princeton, Texas, and Wesley Simpson of Crossett; 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services are 10 AM Saturday at Trinity Chapel in Hampton. Burial will follow at Pickett Cemetery.
