Donnie M. Huff, 73 of Kingsland died Saturday, August 24, 2019. He was born April 21, 1946 in Moro Bay, Arkansas to the late Robert Golden Huff and Carrie Vines Huff. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers Rufus, Marvin, and Sonny, his sister Dorothy, and his granddaughter Kendra Huff.
Donnie served in the Army National Guard. He was a carpenter and later the owner of Systematic Building, a roof truss company. He was a member of Kingsland Assembly of God Church and South Arkansas Kruizers Car Club. He enjoyed collecting antique clocks, old cars, and driving his Studebaker. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar. He was known by many names such as Dad, Pop, Papaw, and Unc. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Emily Stringfellow Huff of Kingsland; five children: Dewayne (Twila) Huff of Farmington, Diana (David) Taylor of Rison, Debbie (Mike) Ashcraft of Woodlawn, Sunni (John Tom) Mathews of Fordyce, and Caleb (Kelsey) Peters of Spanish Fort, Alabama; two sisters Martha Faye Reddin of Dayton, Texas and Frances Granderson of Atlanta, Texas; eleven grandchildren: Devin (Austin) King, Dejae Huff, Briar Huff, Kiera Huff, Hunter Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Justin (Hannah) Ashcraft, Ryne Ashcraft, Daniel House, Harper Mathews, and Emi Beth Mathews; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 10AM Wednesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Marsden Cemetery near Moro Bay. To sign the online register visit
